Programs

each month, excluding the july anniversary potluck and december holiday party, the guild has a program at the monthly meeting. the program is usually a special speaker, trunk show or instructor. often times there is a followup class or workshop taught by that months special guest. this class/workshop is usually the day after the monthly meeting but is subject to change to accommodate the instructors schedule. fees for these classes vary and a supply list is provided in advance to allow time to prepare. there is always a sign up sheet available at the monthly meeting, often times with a sample or photo of the project to be taught. contact judy l.

january - Scrap Projects

The January scrap project will be Simply Serene quilt by Pleasant Valley Creations.  Marcia will have a full supply list at the January meeting.  In the meantime - start pulling together your scraps.  This one is pretty simple - it requires 5 inch squares.  Lots of them!!  And then there are some large, half square triangles.  You will want a dark color and a light background for those, plus setting triangles, and borders.  Marcia will teach you several different methods for making the half square triangles, especially many at the same time.  The quilt pattern provides measurements for 4 quilt sizes which is so helpful when planning.  The link to the pattern is below.
